Scam Websites and Security Issues

4/13/2011

Dear Shareholders,

It has been brought to our attention that "phishing" and scam websites that look similar
to vgmc.com have appeared recently with the intention of capturing your shareholder ID,
password, personal details and to solicit illegal investment (scamming). Please be informed
that www.vgmc2u.com (Creation Date: 01-May-2010), www.virgingoldint.com
(Creation Date: 26-April-2010) and www.tambangmas.com (Creation Date: 26-April-2010)
are in no way related to www.vgmc.com (Creation Date: 18-July-2001).

Shareholders are reminded not to login through or surf these or any other VGMC lookalike
websites as they may contain Trojans or viruses that may also compromise your hardware security.
While there is nothing much Virgin Gold can do other than to remind our shareholders,
our legal and IT team is constantly contemplating any potential action that we may take
against the operators of such sites. Meanwhile, shareholders are strongly advised to avoid
any of those websites and to always only go to www.vgmc.com.

The three websites indicated above have only existed since late April 2010 (after VGMC
launched its worldwide Convertible Preferred Stocks on the 1st of January 2010) and
cheated a number of investors into believing that they offer similar investment opportunities
as Virgin Gold Mining Corporation. Take note that the Creation Date of these 3 scam
websites are within the same week and have the same modus operandi. We kindly remind
all our shareholders to share this information with any potential shareholder so that they
may not fall victim to such scams.

On another note, shareholders are strongly advised not to use passwords that are very
similar to their name, username, mobile number, e-mail or any other personal details
that might be easy for perpetrators to guess. Please also take the security question
function seriously and avoid using the same answer for all 5 questions and ensure that
all answers are unique and are not similar to your password. A convenient password for
you is as convenient for any perpetrator. We have came across several cases in which
some shareholders have made connections in certain social networking sites, blogs and
forums with strangers who pose as friends with the intention of gaining access to their
e-mail, bank and even vgmc accounts.

As a reminder to all our shareholders, we will never send you an email requesting your
password or security answers. If you receive such an e-mail, you are strongly advised
not to reply and to disregard it.

Vice President of Investors Relations
Matthew Jacobsen
